Position description:
-Support the day-to-day operation, performing routine to complex accounting functions with journal entries and providing necessary data and support to team.
-Assists in month end closes by performing higher-level variance analysis, reconciliations, automating and documenting processes, and other various ad-hoc reporting tasks.
-Lead in assisting with internal and external audits, compiling financial footnotes, statutory reporting (insurance, and other duties as assigned).
-Lead in directing and training accounting assistants with departmental functions, including teamwork and collaboration.
-Assist accounting and support staff in daily related functions, month end tasks, and lead in special projects, as assigned.

Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field required
- 1-3 years of warranty and insurance experience in the auto industry required
- Knowledge of ASC 606 required
- Experience in statutory reporting (yellow book or blue book) and/or journalizing underwriting activity required
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
