Reynolds Standard Security Protocol
In the event a Reynolds certified third-party experiences a data incident1, we will initiate our Standard Security Protocol. This protocol has been put in place to ensure the integrity of your system is not further compromised. When a data incident is first identified, we protect dealership and consumer information from further exposure or damage.
1By Reynolds standards, a data incident is a security event that compromised the integrity, confidentiality, or availability of an information asset and/or Retail Management System application. At this point, a breach has not yet been confirmed but the potential for exposure is high.
A data breach is an incident that results in the confirmed disclosure (not just potential exposure) of data to an unauthorized party.
