The Problem

Before ERA-IGNITE, our dealership had a very manual fixed operations process. I relied on my own personal experience heavily in my day-to-day tasks; knowing the vehicles, tracking mileage, and tracking what maintenance was due. I’d write down what each customer needed and sometimes follow up a month later. While I could type notes into customer profiles, at the end of the day, it was a lot of manual work, a lot of typing, and there was no real way to track declined services beyond my own records. The whole process was exhausting, and it felt like there were always papers flying everywhere.
Our dealership needed a DMS that could support our fixed operations team while also handling our accounting. With a relatively small staff managing an average of 300-350 repair orders per month, efficiency and ease of use were critical.
We also needed strong reporting visibility without spending excessive time running complex reports, and a system that new employees could learn quickly without disrupting our day-to-day operations.
